Last night ( August 7th, Monday), the Philippines defeated Iran with the score 63-48.
In the beginning of the game, the Philippines led Iran 24-9 in the first quarter.
It seemed that the Philippines could beat Iran easily.
However, Iran started to fight back and made it 31-30 before the break.
During the 3rd quarter, Iran launched an onrush and led the Philippines 35-40.
But the Philippines fought hard. They ended the game with a 15-1 when the score tied 46. It also ended the game perfectly.
Gilas Pilipinas will be returning to Manila from Japan, with new player Jordan Clarkson expected to join their practices and start the new game.
